David Sweat Trial Archive

Former escaped inmate David Sweat made an appearance Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Clinton County Court, where he was expected to be arraigned on various charges related to his brazen escape from the Dannemora prison in early June. Sweat, along with fellow convicted killer Richard Matt broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility in the overnight between June 5 and June 6, leading to a three-week multi-million dollar manhunt of the North Country.
